She and LeAnn Kymes were two of the earliest recipients of a Grammy Award. Alison Maria Krauss was born in the month of July 1971. Alison is an American bluegrass singer and country musician. She began to work in the music business at a very young age. When she was 10, she won local contests and recorded her debut album. She was signed in 1985 to Rounder Records. Her first solo album came out in 1987. The album was also a part of the band Alison Krauss Union Station where she is still performing. Then, in 1989, her first solo album came out in conjunction with the band.
